What is Guided Meditation

Guided meditation is a simple way for everyone to experience the plentiful health benefits of meditation, without any prior experience or expertise. Guided meditation is a meditation technique which involves following a particular journey on CD or out loud, with the purpose of attaining relaxation, inspiration, comfort, and/or direction. Guided meditation in particular, like meditation in general, helps to restore the body to a calm and relaxed state, can assist the body in repairing and healing itself, while simultaneously helping the body protect itself from new damage caused by stress and tension.
